NEUROBION INJECTION 6S

Neurobion injection is a combination of vitamins B1, B6, and B12. It is a neurotropic vitamin injection used for the treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency.

Composition of Neurobion injection

Neurobion injection is manufactured by Merck Ltd and is available in various strengths and forms. It is mainly composed of following 3 essential ingredients in 3ml of ampule which includes:

• Cobalamine – 100 mg
• Pyridoxine – 100 mg
• Thiamine – 1 mg

Mechanism of action

It improves the patient condition by performing following functions:

• Relaxes the nerve-signals that are sent to brain. It also changes the electrical activity thus relaxing and slowing overactive heart muscles; which leads to growth, cell reproduction, haematopoiesis, nucleoprotein, and myelin synthesis.

• Dosage

  Neurobion ampules are preferably injected intramuscularly. In severe symptoms or conditions 1 ampule daily until the acute symptoms subside. Whereas, in mild cases and follow-up therapy 2 or 3 ampules per week.

  Missed Dose

  • Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, then skip the previous dose.
